About the Site

First a little something about the site. It will be mostly research into specific companies or investments with the occasional foray into the broader market. I will also sometimes look at the macro-economic and political picture as it relates to important market moves.

I will also try to create lessons in various subjects whether its technical analysis, charting, options trading, etc. I will do anything that makes money. I will primarily be focusing on stocks and options, but I might discuss foreign exchange (forex) and commodities. On the stock side I might make mention of the over-the-counter (OTC) market, if only to explain the risks. I will write about anything that strikes my fancy regarding the entire universe of investing, and this will expand as I learn more (i.e. the bond markets). I will also implement a way to take suggestions from readers and create content that answers the questions in a way that would benefit many other people.

About Me

I am someone who loves knowledge and learning new things. I also like to make money. To me nothing is as suitable to meet all these things as investment research. You evaluate an investment on many levels. You can look at brand new technologies and understand the scientific foundation to measure the likelihood of success and the economic potential. As you read the materials on this page I hope you will get a clearer picture of how I think about the market and why I do what I do. (You will also notice I like using parenthesis for an aside or to fill the reader in, which is something I picked up in law school.)

I have training in law, finance, and political science. I use that as well as whatever skills I pick up along the way to inform my decisions. I started this website to share that perspective with others, and possibly make some money at the same time.

I am just starting out and don’t have lots of capital to leverage my research to its full ability, so I am also looking to share my research. The majority of the content will stay free. I still work a job to make ends meet, hopefully one day I won’t have to, but I am young enough to still have severe student loan payments.

If you are thinking “why start this website trying to make money if you are so good?” The answer is, I am not that good. You should never assume I am that good. I have been right before to nice rewards, but I have been wrong too. I will probably be wrong again. You should assume I am always wrong and use everything here as a jumping off point into your own research. Also, I would have no reason to share anything here if I was not getting something in return. It is a mercenary but realistic approach.
